Riding Instruction
Nickas Eckendorff Danish Dressage Rider and TeacherNick has been competing and teaching for over 20 years. He is a highly respected competitor and coach in Denmark with pupils coming 2nd and 3rd in the national championships. Nick was selected to try out for the Danish Team a few years ago, but circumstances were not on his side as he needed to have two horses competing nationally at grand prix (at that time he only had one, the other being at Prix St George). Nick has been competing at Grand Prix for 20 Years and is very much a hands-on instructor, willing to help even if it means sitting on the horse himself and working the horse through any schooling problem or evasions that may occur. Riders can either warm the horses up prior to the lesson thus having a full 40 minutes instruction, or if riders prefer, Nick will help them with the warm up. His lessons are 40 minutes long and riders are asked what they currently do with the horse and what they want to achieve, no matter how little they want, Nick will help them do this (even if its only to canter a complete circle, with the horse going forward and into contact). Nick fortunately has a very good sense of humour and riders are encouraged to ask questions if there is something they don't understand. Nick currently comes to the North of England every month to teach and would be happy for anyone to attend his lessons. |
